We are getting ready to print a new brochure featuring the "8 Wonders of Mitchell County". Nearly 1,000 votes were cast to select the top 8 attractions. They are:
1) The antique soda fountain at the Perfect Pair, 100 S. Mill in Beloit.
2) St. John's Cathlic Church, 701 E. Court in Beloit
3) The Chautauqua Isle of Lights in Beloit, open the Wednesday before Thanksgiving through December 31st.
4) Waconda Lake/Glen Elder State Park
5) The Worlds Largest Ball of Sisal Twine in Cawker City
6) Chautauqua Park in Beloit
7) Trappers Bar & Grill, 304 S. Elkhorn in Simpson
8) The Mitchell County Courthouse, 111 S. Hersey in Beloit

Starting new Blog in Beloit Kansas
I am starting a new blog to feature rural tourism elements in Beloit, Kansas.
This is being done through training I am "currently" receiving from the Kansas Sampler Foundation. (Thanks Marci & WenDee!)
Can't wait to tell everyone about the antique soda fountain, quaint coffee shops, Little Red School House and other wonderful attractions and experiences you can enjoy in our little town in the heart of north central Kansas.
